In Class assignment, ethos/pathos/logos American flag

This image of the American Flag uses Pathos. When looking at an American flag, it brings a feeling of pride to me.  This particulary American flag is special and brings an even more significant sense of pride when I look at it.  When looking at all the little business logos on the flag, it represents how America is a place of freedom and opportunity.  America is a free country where every citizen has the opportunity to start their own business adventures and have the chance of sucess.  Every American also has the freedom to choose where they want to work.  The types of brands on the flag are all very different, which brings a sense of diversity.  This unique American flag can evoke many different types of feelings about America.

Out of class assignment, First Blog

My name is Maria.  I am a junior at TCU.  I am a Finance major with a Spanish minor.  I have one older brother and one older sister.  I also have a niece/nephew on the way. I cannot wait to be an aunt soon.  I also have a little dog named Allegra.  My favorite color is purple.  I love traveling.  This past summer I went to Spain to study Spanish and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
I plan on becoming a much better writer from this course. I have struggled with writing papers in the past and I hope I will be able to write papers with more confidence.  I want to sound more sophisticated in my writings.  I will work my hardest on my assignments and do my best so I can learn as much as possible from this class.
Most of my experience in writing outside of school work is mostly texting, and occasionally emailing. I never write in a journal or anything else. I only write papers if it is required for school.
This blog is an argument of my ideas about writing. For some people, writing can be very difficult to do. For others, writing can come easily to them. The ability to write is one of the most important skills a person needs to know how to do. I find my blog to be very simple. Writing and creativity is not natural to me so I make my thoughts simple and short. Hopefully throughout this course my writing skills will improve and I will have more confidence to write more in depth on this blog.

In Class Assignment, "Do you agree that everything is an argument?

I do agree with the book that everything is an argument. The idea of everything being an argument has never occurred to me until I read the first chapter of the book.  After I have read the chapter I now consider everything to be an argument.
Every action that you make stands for something. It does not matter whether the actions you make are big or small, but they all create argument.  Words also create arguments.  Everything that you say stands for something too. When you state your thoughts, you are giving your opinions or ideas.  Statements create all sorts of arguments.  You can create an argument to persuade, such as trying to sell a product, or you can create an argument to inform, such as noticing someone of an appointment.  There are many other types of arguments such as arguments to convince, to explore, to make decisions, to meditate or pray, and many more.  Anything that you do or say will create some form of an argument.
I also think the way a person perceives someone else’s actions or words can determine what those actions or words stand for and how significant they are.  Some people can perceive something as a major argument, when other can perceive the same thing as trivial.  Although everything truly is an argument, the significance of an argument changes with every single person’s opinion about each action or thoughts.
