There are many local spaces within the community of TCU and the general community of Fort Worth where I enjoy spending my time. One of my favorite places to be at TCU is the Rec Center. I love going to the Rec Center because it is one of the few places on campus where I feel that I am able to escape from my stressful day of school work. When I go to the Rec Center and exercise, it reminds me of my favorite work out center from home. Hanging out at places that remind me of home always brings me a sense of comfort because of the familiarity to my home town. Not only do I get to benefit from exercise when I go to the Rec Center, but I also get to enjoy my time people watching. I love people watching, and the Rec Center is a good place to do that because there is nothing else to do when I am running on the treadmill or elliptical machine.
Another one of my favorite places to spend my time is Central Market. Central Market is an enormous grocery store and it is very easy to get lost in there. I can spend hours in there just wandering around. There is so much to see and so much food to try. Every time I go, I discover new foods and new brands that cannot be found at any other average grocery store. The café at Central Market is also one of my places to eat. There are so many different options of food to eat that I could go there every day and never repeat a meal. Plus, the food is delicious.
Borders Book Store was another local place in Fort Worth that I love to spend my time. Unfortunately, Borders Book Stores have gone bankrupt and have shut down so I am not able to go there anymore. When the store was open, it was my favorite place to study. I do not like being alone when I study, so it was the perfect place to go to study. It was always full of people, but it was still quiet enough to get my studying done well. I also enjoyed going there just to sit around and flip through random books when I was bored. Now that Borders is gone, I will have to find a new book store to hang out.
